GENERATE A DEBATE IN THE CLASS

Activity 1
Instructions:

1.On a piece of paper and without the help of a dictionary, now you are going to write down the definition of a simple object. Imagine you have to explain this word to an alien that has just landed on our planet.
This object is "CHAIR"

2.Now you are all going to share your definitions with the group and you may have a good laugh as all the definitions are unique and diffenrent. You will hardly find two definitions the same.Some will focus on the function, others may obviate structural objects etc.
So, do we all have the same mental concept of chair?
Do we all express it the same way? See what you think!!

Think of a situation in which you didn't achieve what you wanted because there was a comunication breakdown. Then share it with the group.
