Title: Why did dinosaurs become extinct?
There are different explanations as to why/how/what /when the magnificent dinosaurs became extinct.
One explanation is that there was a reduction in the number and diversity of different groups of land and marine animals.
The evidence for this is the change of climate produced at the end of the Cretaceous, that is to say, it became cooler and there was a fall in the sea level reducing thus, the habitat of dinosaurs and other sea animals.
An alternative explanation is that they became extinct because of an extraterrestrial impact that shook the planet, causing something similar to a nuclear winter scenario.
This explanation is based on geophysical evidence of an asteroid impact at the end of the cretaceous because iridium, a mineral present in meteorites and very rare on our planet, has been found in many places in the world.
Of the alternative explanations I think the most likely is the meteorite hypothesis because of (the evidence found) the iridium.

Title: The Discovery of Fire
I want to explain why the discovery of fire was so important to man.
There are several reason for this.
The chief reason is that it made man less vulnerable to wild animals and fierce beast such as mammoths, bison, tigers, etc. and other members of rival tribes. He could now produce and control it/fire, was more powerful, more secure and warmer.
Another reason is that fire changed his habits because it has the power to attract people, to make them want to observe it, to make them want to remain closer, to relax them. And maybe, who knows, that was the origin of language.
A further reason is that fire changed their eating habits. By cooking raw meat, they changed their routines because they had to wait for it to be ready as it tasted differently and better!! They probably started then sharing their meals.
So now you can see why the discovery of fire was so important to mankind and I’m sure that without it we wouldn’t be where we are now/what we are now.
